The on-ramp to ITIL 4 Managing Professional, taught from the operations seat.

ITIL 4 MP is a credential built from four separate modules — CDS, DSV, HVIT, and DPI — each with its own exam, and no single bootcamp can honestly prep you for all four. So this one doesn't pretend to. We go deep on Create, Deliver & Support (CDS), the operations keystone of the MP designation, until you're exam-ready by Friday afternoon. Then we survey DSV, HVIT, and DPI in enough depth that you walk out with a 90-day pathway plan: which exam to take next, in what order, and how to study for each one.

That framing matters. Most "MP bootcamps" race through every module at survey depth and leave learners stranded between four exams they're not really ready for. We pick CDS as the focal point because it's the most operationally-applicable, the most marketable, and the prerequisite-free entry point into the MP modules. Then we hand you the structure to finish the rest under your own power.

Day 1 — Foundation Refresh and CDS Part 1: Plan & Build

  • ITIL 4 service value system, four dimensions, guiding principles, and value chain refresher
  • MP pathway: CDS, DSV, HVIT, DPI — module purpose, exam structure, and ordering decisions
  • CDS — value-stream concepts, value-stream mapping, and end-to-end visibility
  • Planning organizational structures, capabilities, and the team topologies that fit modern delivery
  • Build practices: service design, software development & management, deployment management
Module 2

Day 2 — CDS Part 2: Deliver, Support, and Exam Prep

  • Service desk, incident management, and the user-experience lens on operations
  • Problem management, monitoring & event management, and proactive operations
  • Service level management, service catalogue, and continual feedback loops
  • CDS exam-prep: question-format walk-through, scenario-style item triage, and time management
  • Practice exam under timed conditions with full debrief; 30-day CDS exam-prep plan

Day 3 — DSV: Drive Stakeholder Value

  • Service relationships, the basic service journey, and customer-experience design
  • Engage and Offer: stakeholder analysis, supplier management, service catalogue, SLM, requirements lens
  • Agree, Onboard, Co-Create: BRM practices, onboarding, and the user-experience lens on day-to-day delivery

Still have questions?

Will this bootcamp prepare me for all four MP exams?
Honestly: no, and we won't pretend otherwise. Five days isn't enough time to deep-prep all four modules. By Friday you're exam-ready for CDS — the operations keystone — and you walk out with a 90-day pathway plan to self-study and sit for DSV, HVIT, and DPI in turn. Most learners pass CDS within 30 days of the bootcamp.
Do I need ITIL 4 Foundation first?
Yes. ITIL 4 Foundation is a prerequisite for every MP module. If you don't have it yet, take our ITIL 4 Foundation course first (2 days). The Day 1 morning is a Foundation refresher, not a substitute.
Is the CDS exam included in the price?
No. AXELOS / PeopleCert exam delivery is handled separately. We focus the bootcamp on instructor-led prep; exam vouchers and proctored exam scheduling are coordinated through PeopleCert outside the engagement, unless explicitly bundled in a private cohort.
Why does this course go deep on CDS instead of DPI?
CDS is the operations keystone — value streams, service desk, incident/problem/change/release. It's the module most learners use at work the day after the exam, and it's the most-recommended starting point in the MP pathway. DPI is excellent for senior strategy roles; we cover it on Day 5 and include a study plan, but the exam-ready depth on Day 1–2 is reserved for CDS.
Can this be delivered as a private cohort?
Yes. We deliver MP Bootcamp privately for service-management teams advancing to MP together, with optional pre-work, custom case studies aligned to your service catalogue, and group exam scheduling support.
