About this course

Course overview

The Google Cloud counterpart to AWS Cloud Practitioner Prep and Azure Fundamentals — completing the cloud-fundamentals trio.

Cloud Digital Leader is Google Cloud's entry-tier credential, aimed squarely at non-engineers who need cloud literacy in a Google-shop or multi-cloud environment. Same format we use for AWS Cloud Practitioner Prep and AZ-900: 2 days, INTRO level, $1,195.

Day 1 covers digital transformation framing, Google Cloud's positioning, and deep coverage of the Data + AI services that anchor Google's cloud differentiation (BigQuery, Vertex AI, Pub/Sub, Dataflow). Day 2 covers infrastructure modernization (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run), trust + security + IAM, operations + FinOps, and exam readiness with a timed mock and 30-day study plan.

Learning outcomes

What you'll learn

Every module is tied to an outcome you can bring back to your team the next day.

  • Describe why and how cloud transforms business — and why Google Cloud's bets (data, AI, openness, sustainability) shape digital-leader decisions
  • Apply cloud computing fundamentals — IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, public/private/hybrid/multi-cloud — at the leader's altitude
  • Describe Google Cloud's data services (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Spanner, Bigtable, Firestore) and how data drives digital strategy
  • Describe Google Cloud AI/ML services (Vertex AI, AutoML, pre-trained APIs, generative AI) and their role in modern digital products
  • Describe modernization paths (lift-and-shift, replatform, refactor) and Google Cloud's compute services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions)
  • Describe Google Cloud's shared-responsibility model, IAM fundamentals, and identity / access patterns
  • Describe operations and monitoring services (Cloud Operations Suite) and FinOps fundamentals
  • Sit for the Cloud Digital Leader exam after a 30-day post-workshop study plan

Audience

Who it's for

  • Project managers, business analysts, and IT staff in Google Cloud or multi-cloud environments
  • Sales engineers, customer success, and TAMs supporting GCP-hosted products
  • IT leaders evaluating Google Cloud as part of cloud-strategy decisions
  • Cloud-fluency learners completing the AWS / Azure / GCP fundamentals trio
  • Compliance, audit, and governance professionals reading Google Cloud architecture and policy documents

Frequently asked questions

Still have questions?

How does this compare to AWS Cloud Practitioner Prep and AZ-900?
Same format (2 days, INTRO, $1,195) and same outcome (entry-level cloud cert). Cloud Digital Leader covers Google Cloud; CLF-C02 covers AWS; AZ-900 covers Azure. If your organization is Google-heavy, take this one. If multi-cloud, take whichever matches your primary platform first.
Is the exam included?
No. The Google Cloud exam voucher (currently $99 USD) and Webassessor / Kryterion exam scheduling are handled separately unless explicitly bundled in a private engagement. Day 2 walks through the application process.
Do I need any prior cloud experience?
No. Cloud Digital Leader is explicitly designed as the on-ramp cert and assumes no prior Google Cloud exposure. General IT or cloud literacy helps but isn't required.
How does Cloud Digital Leader compare to GCP's technical certs (Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional certs)?
Cloud Digital Leader is the leader-perspective entry cert — broad, business-context, no hands-on coding. The Associate / Professional certs are technical, hands-on, and require GCP console / CLI fluency. Most non-engineers stop at Cloud Digital Leader; engineers progress to Associate Cloud Engineer next.
Can this be delivered as a private cohort?
Yes. Private deliveries can include a tenant-specific case study (your real GCP environment), bulk exam-voucher pricing, and a follow-up 'Associate Cloud Engineer readiness' coaching session for learners ready to pursue the next-tier technical cert.
